Dylan Martorell

Dylan Martorell is an artist and musician, originally from Scotland but now living in Australia. Martorell He describes his style as ‘fourth world psych exotica,’ a magpie junkyard aesthetic clearly influenced by his travels in North Africa, South East Asia, Japan and Mexico. We love his simple but very imaginative drawings.

Longing

This is a picture of one of Tricia Guilds studios. We can’t exactly say that ours look the same right now. We are in the middle of finding a place to produce our ceramic – and it is really hard work. Therefore we send envious looks to Tricia Guilds creative paradise.

Sofiero and Svenskt tenn

Went to Sofiero in Helsingborg in Sweden this weekend. There is an amazing garden and a lot of fun for the kids. And as a nice surprise for me, there was an exhibition with the swedish artist Cilla Ramnek and Svenskt Tenn, I just felt so lucky.

Courageous colors

Found this beautiful home on the net. We are both in the middle of redecorating our homes so we are looking for inspiration everywhere. And this home certainly inspires us. It is beautiful, poetic and with a courageous use of dark color. Try Farrow & Ball for beautiful paint.

La Roque sur Ceze

La Roque sur Ceze is my favorite little village. This is where I dream to have my little medieval house with a view of the ‘Cascades du Sautadet'.

Sofia has had a purple period for a long time now, where she would only wear purple clothes. On this holiday I packed her bag with new dresses in lots of different colors so she had no choise. The red dress is from
H&M.
