One of our favorite architects is the dane Finn Juhl ( 1912-1989). In the 1940s, he broke with the established furniture tradition and designed a number of creations that regenerated Danish furniture. The first picture is from his home, that is now open as a museum.

Summerbird...but first cleaning up
We are trying to clean up our studio, going through all the boxes with old ceramicsamples, talking about what to do with it. It is hard work, so yesterday we had a really dilicious treat. Cream puffs with rhubarb inside and a bottom made of marzipan, from Summerbird. If this is the reward for hard work, we want to work all day.

Josef Frank
One of the most inspiering designers we know, is the austrian architect and designer Josef Frank. He was born in 1885 and until his dead in 1967 he worked for Svenskt Tenn. They still produces some of his wonderful things and luckily for us, it is still possible to buy his amasing designs. By the way, the wallpaper we got in our studio is made by Josef F.

No work today. Mingus and Sofia are turning 3, so I am home trying to fix up the house before the guests arrives. I always put flowers on top of the fireplace and each time I do I ask myself the question. ‘Why do we keep this fireplace when we never use it?’ I have to come up with an answer before winter. I get inspired by the home of Helle Høgsbro from Creme de la creme a la Edgar
The tea light holders are made by Helle Vestergaard – she also makes them huge in black. We will show you soon - they are absolutely beautiful.
Our kitchen also needs a makeover. Kristine and I have just found these wonderful colors in laminate and are planning to use it for our working desks – I think it will look nice for our kitchen too.

Douglas & Hope
We got contacted by Douglas & Hope that have 2 shops in Melbourne, Australia. The owner Cathy Hope was interested in our vintage porcelain with new decorations. Her shop looks really nice and we are sure we would be great fans if it was not on the other side of the world. She also blog about her shop.

Random things that we like
We have worked a lot as stylist lately for RUM and BoligLiv. When looking at beautiful innovative designs all day it can be quite hard to come home and realize that our own place needs a makeover. Here are some of the things that we would like to have.

Kragh Rosenberg
Kragh Rosenberg designcompany was founded in 2004 by Mette Louise Kragh and Anne Rosenberg. Their style ranges from a graphic, minimalistic and functional look to a more detailed, charming and vivid impact. They do all from bed linen, table cloths, bags, cushions and clothing for children and adults. We love the colours and their bold prints.

Cph Square
The reason why we went through Valby the other day was because we had to pick up some of the cushions we did for Urbanite Copenhagen. We needed the cushions for our showroom because we once again had 120 people to visit the studio through an event arranged by the Danish newspaper Politiken.
Urbanite Copenhagen has their locations in an old factory building with lots of galleries and designers. We went to visit Cph Square which have the most impressive raw showroom filled with the hottest designs. Take a look.
