Sustainable thinking - upcycling, recycling, reuse and social and local engagement - has been a central criterion for Crafts Collection 14. Nina Tolstrup has been the curator this year and we are so happy to be a part of it.
With a range of story-telling platters called Yippie Yi Yay, we add our own handmade decorations to old platters that already have decorations; we construct new stories and give the old china an entirely new life in a rejection of consumerism.
My mother has just returned from Turkey and she brought these beautiful rugs home. One of them was for me.
This place also have nice rugs
When I was a child I spend my summers in France. My father and his 2 brothers lived in an old watermill and every Saturday developed into a party - Because Saturday was marked day. Everybody would meet for a drink at Café des Voyageurs, then they would buy lots of food and all go back to the watermill to eat and drink.
We continue that tradition.
