Our studio is situated in an area said to be the new creative "hotspot" in Copenhagen. Originally the area was a part of the "meatpacking" district and it still works as such, but now it has opend up for people with a creative background. So now, mixede together with the butchers, there are photographers, architects, artists, designers, galleries, trendy cafes and nightclubs. If you are in the neighbourhood try Karrierebar and gallery V1 .
Monday morning, 8.30 and I am at the studio making tee to Sabine and myself. The tea is from the best tea salon in Copenhagen, Tante te ( Aunt Tea ). When you step inside Tante te, it's like coming back to your grandmas livingroom, really cosy and personal. Our favourite tea at the moment is 'Claudis Garden'.

We are so excited. Johan Rosenmunthe and Rebekka Ehlers are moving in to our studio in the beginning of June. They are both photographers. Take a look at their work – it’s great.

We started the day at Ikea´s textile event with breakfast on a houseboat and a tour through Ikeas new spring/summer products. The yellow sideboard is made by Jba-design and is based on childhood memories, the play room at home and the impressive baroque drawing rooms in the granparents´ house.
One of our favourites, is the spanish designer Helena Rohner. She makes everything from ceramic to jewellery. Resently she has made a beautiful tea set in silver and porcelain for danish 'Georg Jensen'.

We have had more then 4 days in a row with sunshine – quite rare. It is absolutely wonderful and all our garden books have come out from its hide. We a taking shapes, colors, textures, and what we want to plant next. Kristine’s mother Hanne is the woman behind this lovely garden and has a very advanced sense for putting things together.

The Dutch artist Wouter Dolk has just made some new designs for Royal Copenhagen.

The whole family spent Sunday outside in the garden with lots of kids from the neighborhood. The adoults were a little too ambitious trying to build a mini house for the kids and paint a wardrobe at the same time. Everybody was very tried this evening.

The sun is shining to day and there is a beautiful light in the whole house. It makes me want to rearrange the furniture’s and paint everything in new colors. Lots of nice inspiration for Mingus and Sofia’s room.

A couple of years ago Kristine and I made an article about Made a Mano.
The Royal Café is modern with a twist – and it has Made a Mano floors: Pink walls, a ceiling with birch-leaf-patterned paper, paintings on the walls and the very best of Danish design.
Sadly enough we have to say goodby to Cecilie Sindum as she is moving to a bigger studio. She comes from Norway and needs to build up a bigger network in Denmark. She has been sitting in our studio for the last couple of month and we love her amazing modern chandeliers. We also love the picture of her taken by Stine Heilmann.
We are working on a small range of porcelain vases called “Rainy days”. Glazed inside and raw on the outside – decorated with stories of rainy days in scandinavia.

Sabine’s mother-in-law Alice is a firm knitter and creates the most amazing stuff for the whole family. Now it is my turn to get a home-made-something. I am looking at knitwear all the time now for inspiration. What should I go for?
